USDA RUS ReConnect, FCC RDOF, and State Grant Programs: These are the “big three” opportunities for tapping state and federal funding for rural broadband in 2020. Larry Thompson is the CEO of Vantage Point Solutions, a national provider of engineering and consulting services to the telecommunications industry. Thompson is a licensed professional engineer and has been designing satellite, wireless and wireline broadband networks for more than 30 years. He has helped clients successfully manage a wide variety of technical, regulatory and financial challenges in deploying wireless and wireline networks.
Kristy Szabo
Director of Consulting, Vantage Point Solutions
Kristy Szabo is director of consulting at Vantage Point Solutions. She has more than 24 years of experience in business finance and has performed several valuations on ILEC and CLEC operations, wireless operations and CATV systems. She also executes historic financial analysis, financial forecasting, budgets and feasibility studies. Szabo’s work has included the RUS Broadband and Traditional Loan programs and the USDA ReConnect and Community Connect Grant Program.
Nathan Weber
Vice President of Engineering, Vantage Point Solutions
Nathan Weber is vice president of engineering at Vantage Point Solutions. Weber has been active in the telecommunications industry for 20 years and has expertise in the design and implementation of voice, data and video networks. He has been directly involved with many aspects of the telecommunications industry ranging from the development of feasibility studies to the coordination of engineering staff deploying state-wide telecommunications networks.
